[THIS IS A REBROADCAST FROM 3/20/2018, IN TRIBUTE TO DAVE MASON ON HIS PASSING AT AGE 79 ON APRIL 19TH.] Primo guitarist and singer-songwriter Dave Mason was one of the founding members of legendary '60s-'70s band Traffic, weaving his way in and out of their first four albums, before establishing a lengthy solo career beginning with his classic disc "Alone Together" in 1971. His history also includes playing with such rock royalty as Jimi Hendrix, Derek and the Dominos (Eric Clapton) and George Harrison. Dave continued to tour extensively until a heart condition retired him in 2024.
